What we liked
- + Foot pedal speed control from 0-300RPM leaves both hands free for centering clay
- + Detachable basin lifts off for quick rinsing after a messy throwing session
- + 11in head gives enough room for bowls and plates, not just tiny cups
Trade-offs
- - 350W budget motor may slow under heavy pressure on big lumps of clay
- - Plastic basin and fittings feel less durable than brand-name studio wheels
