What we liked
- + 0.5 HP motor with load-sensing control that holds wheel head speed as the load on the clay changes.
- + 14 inch wheel head and up to 100 lb centering capacity, far beyond what compact hobby wheels list.
- + Two-part splash pan and polyethylene table top for easy cleanup, backed by a 10 year warranty.
Trade-offs
- - Costs over a thousand dollars, a serious outlay next to the compact 350W wheels in this guide.
- - Direction changes use a reversing plug, and the listing gives no weight or noise figure.
